What Is Detroit-Style Pizza?

Detroit-style pizza is known for its signature rectangular shape, thick yet airy crust, and one unmistakable feature: edge-to-edge cheese.

Instead of stopping at the crust, the cheese is spread all the way to the sides of the pan, where it bakes into a crispy, caramelized layer that delivers the perfect crunch in every bite. The result is a pizza that’s crispy on the outside, light and fluffy on the inside, and packed with flavor from corner to corner.
